The finals of the Narrabri Sporties’ Club Triples, Mixed Pairs and President Pairs competitions were all contested across the weekend.
Justin Green, Trinity Kelly and Cameron Yates are the Club Triples champions for 2020.
In the final of that competition, which was played on Saturday morning, the trio played brilliant bowls to defeat Ian Macmillan, Tony Redman and Dave Dewar by 28 shots. Dewar’s team did not handle the wind and played 14 ends before scoring a point. The final score after 19 ends was 32-4.
In the Mixed Pairs, Lorraine Scott and Kevin Baguley also had a big win against Terry Wilson and Cindy Neil.
The final score after 18 ends was 30-10.
The President Pairs final was played on Sunday morning which saw Baguley and Wilson team up after playing against one another the day before.
They won by a big margin, defeating David Briggs and Bob Ireland 30-7 over 17 ends.
Meanwhile, any men interested in joining the flying bowlers – there will be a meeting at the club 7.30pm this Friday night after the Narrabri Sporties’ meat draw.
Thursday morning social bowls is still being played – 8am for the men and 7.30am for the ladies.
