Narrabri Sporties and Wee Waa Bowling Club were victorious in their respective pennants matches at the weekend as both clubs bounced back from back-to-back losses to start the season.
Narrabri took on Inverell Sporties in their round four grade three match at Narrabri Sporties on Saturday.
Narrabri won 59-50 overall and claimed victory on two out of the three rinks to secure nine of the 10 competition points on offer.
Ian Macmillan, Steve Daskey, Dave Dewar and Trinity Kelly won their rink by two shots with a 19-17 victory. Scott Dewar, Len Ryan, Kevin Baguley and Norm Walford won their rink by a comfortable 24-11 margin. Tony Redman, Rob Wolters, Justin Green and Paul Crutcher were defeated 22-16 on their rink.
Narrabri will now play Gunnedah at home on Saturday in round five from 11.30am. It will then sit out with the round six bye on Sunday.
Wee Waa Bowling Club then hosted Moree on Sunday morning.
Wee Waa won that round four clash 59-50 overall and claimed victory on two out of the three rinks to secure nine of the 10 competition points on offer.
Cody Booby, Phil Lawford, Todd Cowan and Justin Knight won their rink 25-15 and Clancy Hamilton, Chris Crutcher, Kevin Baker and Steve Berger claimed their rink 30-17. On the other rink, Jay Hall, Toby Reynolds, Wayne Booby and Bruce Cowan went down 29-11.
Wee Waa will host Inverell RSM this Saturday in round five, then will have the round six bye on Sunday.
