Men’s Triples semi-finalists locked in before lockdown

Narrabri Sporties’ men’s bowls season continued on Saturday when three Club Triples matches were contested.

Bruce Tomlinson, Tony Redman and Trinity Kelly defeated Ian Macmillan, Steve Daskey and David Dewar 25-15, David Briggs, Bill Rosewarn and Graham Rose beat Scott Dewar, Laurie Gilbert and Len Ryan 23-20 and Ron Ryan, Bob Cantrill and Kevin Baguley downed Anthony Welchman, Ian Macmillan and Larry Scott 26-18.

They were the last men’s bowls matches played before NSW Health announced on Saturday that the entire state would be under stay at home restrictions from 5pm that day until midnight on Sunday.

Four teams are still alive in Narrabri Sporties’ men’s Club Triples competition, with the semi-finals to be played after lockdown.

Those matches will see Bruce Tomlinson, Tony Redman and Trinity Kelly take on David Briggs, Bill Rosewarn and Graham Rose, and Ron Ryan, Bob Cantrill and Kevin Baguley challenge Leo Hall, Stewart Coleman and Paul Crutcher.
