The race to become a councillor has attracted wide interest across Narrabri Shire with 23 people submitting nominations for the December 4 poll.
Of the prospective elected members, 13 have nominated individually while two groups of five people are also contesting the local government election.
The lead candidate of each group is Greg Lamont and Rohan Boehm.
On Thursday morning, the ballot paper was drawn and the individual candidates listed in drawn order are: Maryanne McDonald, Lloyd Finlay, Crystal Dwyer, Lisa Richardson, Darrell Tiemens, Ron Campbell, Ronald (John) Tully, Catherine (Cathy) Redding, John Clements, Cameron Staines, Ronald (Ron) Campey, Brett Dickinson and Leslie (Les) Knox.
In the Lamont group (Group A), the candidates are Greg Lamont, Robert Browning, Gary (Bill) Phillips, John Carrigan and Carol Armstrong.
Group B, the Boehm group, consists of Rohan Bohem, Richard Laird, Marilyn Binge, Alf Davis and John Tough.
Of the combined total of 23 candidates, 16 have listed their locality as Narrabri, two as Maules Creek, two as Wee Waa, two as Boggabri and one as Eulah Creek.
Voting is compulsory at NSW local government elections.
Pre-poll voting will open on November 22 and run to December 3, while polling on election day will run from 8am to 6pm.
Postal vote applications close on November 29.
