There were a lot of disappointed people in Boggabri when the Australia Day celebrations were cancelled.
However, the weather was perfect when the day finally arrived and families took the opportunity to have a barbecue at home, have a swim at the Boggabri pool or listen to the live entertainment at the Commercial Hotel.
Other families and their friends attended events in neighbouring towns or made the trip to places like Keepit Dam or the coast.
