The second round of Narrabri Touch’s 2022 winter competition saw all 14 teams take the field at Cooma Oval on Monday evening after two games were decided by forfeit in the opening round of the campaign a week earlier.
There were six winning teams in round two, which included Cougars, Tradies and Ladies, Hammer Time, Agies, TRTW and Tapscott Pumpers.
The first draw of the season was also contested as Hounddogs and Who’s Shout could not be separated.
In what was the most dominant win of the 2022 season so far, Tradies and Ladies outscored Kerrigans 15-0 in one of the four games played in the first timeslot.
Two closer contests saw Hammer Time defeat Win or Booze 7-5 and Cougars narrowly beat RSL Guys and Gals 5-4.
An even tighter match finished 7-all after neither Who’s Shout or the Hounddogs could find a winning try.
Two more close encounters were decided by two points in the second timeslot on Monday as Agies downed Sprayerbarn Spinouts 6-4 and the Tapscott Pumpers beat Lumberjacks (and Jills) 4-2.
The other match was won by TRTW, which outscored Witty Wizards 10-4.
Those results saw TRTW, Hammer Time, Tapscott Pumpers, Tradies and Ladies, Agies and Who’s Shout all remain undefeated following the first two rounds of the season.
Only Tapscott Pumpers, TRTW and Hammer Time have played and won two games, with Tradies and Ladies and Agies both prevailing by forfeit in round one and Who’s Shout being held to a draw in round two.
