Wee Waa Golf Club’s 2022 golf trip ambrose was contested by 16 teams at the club’s immaculate nine-hole course on Saturday.
There were 64 golfers who took to the course, all determined to earn both themselves and their teammates a golfing getaway.
The event, which was sponsored by Gleeson Bangate Pastoral Co, was a four-person ambrose played across nine holes. On offer for the winning team was a $1600 voucher with Fairway Golf Tours.
Ty Baker, Toby Reynolds, Jay Hall and Toby Nancarrow claimed that prize after winning the event with a score of 54-and-one-eighth.
Runners-up were Ben Russell, Chris Hartnett, Geoffrey Johnson and Luke Humphries with 55-and-five-eighths, while the team of Anthony and Jaxon Gray and Jono and Cameron Baird placed third with 59.
Nearest to pin on the ninth went to David Russell, Wayne Atkins claimed nearest to pin on the 15th and Greg Avery took out nearest to pin on the fifth.
There were four long drive prizes on offer. They were won by Ty Baker, Les Bonney, Dan Haverhoek and Emily Flood.
