A man and woman will face court charged with property and fraud-related offences following an investigation in Wee Waa.
Officers attached to Oxley Police District commenced an investigation last week into recent break and enters and fraudulent transactions in Wee Waa.
About 1.50 pm on Thursday, June 2, officers attended a home in Rose Street, arresting a man and woman.
Both were taken to Wee Waa Police Station.
The 21-year-old man was charged with five counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception, larceny, break and enter house steal value and assault police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court on Friday, June 3.
A 22-year-old woman was charged with five counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception, larceny and break and enter house steal value.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Wee Waa Local Court on Thursday, June 30.
Drink driver detected in Narrabri
Police stopped a Toyota Landcruiser on Tibbereena Street on May 28.
The driver, a 49-year-old man, was subjected to breath testing and returned a result of .099.
His licence was suspended and he was issued with a court attendance notice.
Woman found in possession of cannabis
A police patrol stopped a vehicle on Maitland Street, Narrabri, on May 28.
The vehicle was searched and 12.26 grams of cannabis was located.
A 23-year-old woman was charged in relation to the discovery of cannabis.
Drink driver collides with power pole
A 21-year-old man was issued with a court attendance notice after colliding with an electricity pole while under the influence of alcohol in the early hours of May 21.
Police said it appeared the man lost control of the vehicle when approaching the intersection with Huxley Street. The man then collided with the electricity pole.
Police attended the incident and reported that the man was uninjured.
Following breath testing, he returned a reading of .139.
The man’s licence was suspended and he will appear in Narrabri Local Court on June 28.
