Narrabri Meals on Wheels on the road in new vehicle

Narrabri Meals on Wheels has new wheels thanks to a contribution from The Honda Foundation and Woodley’s Honda.

“Woodley’s are happy to be partnering with The Honda Foundation to supply the Narrabri Meals on Wheels charity a Honda Hero Vehicle, a Honda CR-V,” a spokesperson said.

“Every year, Woodley’s Honda helps local charities access and apply for the Honda Hero Vehicle and funding program.

“We are delighted this year Meals on Wheels were successful in their tender.

“For the next 12 months, this vehicle will be used by Meals on Wheels at no cost to them (except, of course, petrol). Woodley’s will cover servicing, and the Honda Foundation have supplied, registered and insured the vehicle.”

Narrabri Meals on Wheels co-ordinator Donna MacMillan said the donation of the car ‘could not have come at a better time’ – the former MOW delivery car became unserviceable after an accident six weeks ago.

“This is the kind of generous support which enables Meals on Wheels to continue to offer its service to the community,” Mrs MacMillan said.
