Representatives from the Wee Waa and Narrabri show societies did an outstanding job at the Young Judges Group finals held in Moree on July 31, claiming a swag of ribbons.

Wee Waarians Caitlyn Coutts-Smith and Mackenzie Jones have qualified to represent Group 14 in Junior Judging at the Sydney Royal Easter Show next year, and Narrabri’s Jessie Simpson and Jack Dickinson are reserves if the first place winners of the Beef Cattle and Merino Sheep categories are not able to attend.

There was a very strong field of competitors from across the region representing Warialda, Tamworth, Wee Waa, Narrabri and Moree.

The Moree Show Society hosted this year’s competition along with the judges for the day: Tim Nichols, Beef Cattle; Brennan O’Keefe, Merino Sheep; Justin Kirkby, Meat Breed Sheep; John Croake, Merino Fleece; Marty Conroy, Grains; and Heather Earney, Fruit and Veg.
