The Namoi River is likely to remain above major flood level at Wee Waa (Glencoe) through to Wednesday.
In a flood bulletin issued on Friday afternoon, the SES said the flood peak from the Peel River, currently approaching Carrol Gap, will combine with outflows from Keepit Dam and a flood peak from the Mooki River, currently near Ruvigne, to cause major flooding at Gunnedah on Friday night.
A major flood peak is expected at Gunnedah early Saturday morning which may be higher than the flood levels experienced last weekend.
The flood peak is forecast to approach Boggabri on Sunday and Narrabri on Monday.
An earlier flood peak moving downstream along the Namoi River peaked early Thursday morning at Wee Waa, where major flooding is likely to continue into next week.
River level rises with moderate flood peaks are likely at Bugilbone around Wednesday and possible at Goangra next Friday 30 September. River level heights at Bugilbone and Goangra are likely to be similar to November/December 2021 flooding.

Gunnedah
Major flooding is expected along the Namoi River at Gunnedah.
The Namoi River at Gunnedah is expected to exceed the moderate flood level (7.60 m) around 05:00 pm Friday.
The river level is expected to exceed the major flood level (7.90 m) around 09:00 pm Friday and may peak near 8.30 metres early Saturday morning with major flooding.
At this height, Gunnedah Airport may be impacted by floodwater.
Low-lying areas and properties along streets including Kelvin Rd, Bluevale Road, Wean Road, Boggabri Road, Chandos Street, Marquis Street, Conadilly Street, Little Conadilly
Street, Maitland Street, Bloomfield Street, Tempest Street, Rosemary Street, Warrabungle Street, Henry Street, Finch Street, Talibah Street, Old Tamworth Road, and Orange Grove Road may again be affected by floodwater.
Low-lying areas along the Namoi River including sporting fields, the tennis courts and racecourse may remain impacted by floodwater.

Boggabri
Minor flooding is likely along the Namoi River at Boggabri.
The Namoi River at Boggabri is likely to reach around 7.40 metres Friday evening, before easing briefly. The river level is likely to peak around 7.60 metres during Sunday.
Gunnedah Road, Barbers Lagoon Road, Manilla Road, Maules Creek Road, and Bostons Street Bridge may all be affected by floodwater.
Low-lying areas along the Namoi River may become impacted by floodwater.

Narrabri
Minor flooding is likely along the Namoi River at Narrabri.
The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.90 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. The river level may reach around 5.30 metres during Monday.
At this height, water may enter low-lying areas of Cameron Park.
Floodwater may also close the Violet Street Bridge and Tibbereena Bridge.
Low-lying areas along the Namoi River may become impacted by floodwater.

Wee Waa
Major flooding is occurring along the Namoi River at Wee Waa.
The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) peaked at 7.20 metres around 04:00 am Thursday 22 September and is currently at 7.11 metres and falling slowly, with major flooding.
The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) is likely to remain above the major flood level (6.70 m) through to Wednesday.
Wee Waa is currently isolated by roads. Therefore, the following roads are impacted by flooding;
Vera’s Creek
Garden Roads
Kamilaroi Highway at Glencoe
Kamilaroi Highway towards Burren Junction
Vera’s Leap Road at Wee Waa Lagoon
Culgoora Road at Wee Waa Lagoon
Narrabri Road (Kamilaroi Highway)
Yarrie Lake Road
Access to Wee Waa Airport may be impeded.
Kamilaroi High may be closed between Narrabri and Wee Waa, due to floodwater.
Low-lying areas along the Namoi River may become impacted by floodwater.

Bugilbone
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Namoi River at Bugilbone.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone is likely to reach around 6.50 metres around Wednesday, with moderate flooding. This is similar to late November flooding in 2021.
Drilldool Road (SR72) and Pilliga Road (RR7716) may be impacted by floodwater.
Main Road (329) between Pilliga and Cashels Bridge may be impacted by floodwater.
Low-lying areas along the Namoi River may become impacted by floodwater.

Goangra
Moderate flooding is likely along the Namoi River at Goangra.
The Namoi River at Goangra is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (6.70 metres) during Monday.
The river level may reach around 7.50 metres Friday next week (30 Sep), with moderate flooding. This is similar to early December flooding in 2021.
Goangra Road may be impacted by floodwater at the approaches to Goangra Bridge.
Come By Chance Road may be impacted by floodwater.
Floodwater spilling into Cumberdoon Creek may cause inundation of the floodplain between the Namoi River and Castlereagh Highway.
Low-lying areas and access roads along the Namoi River may become impacted by floodwater.
