On August 13, 2022, Nathan McInnes and Gena Pattison, both of Narrabri, celebrated their wedding at the Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour.

Nathan is the son of Jason and Tracey McInnes, and Gena is the daughter of Dean and Sandra Pattison.

The celebrations had been postponed twice due to COVID, and Nathan and Gena decided to hold a small intimate wedding, a third time lucky event, with 30 guests attending on the day.

A destination wedding was something the couple had always wanted, and the Coffs Harbour resort turned out to be the perfect venue with beautiful balmy weather on the day.

Gena wore a white full-length backless lace gown with a train and a headband of white roses and Baby’s Breath.

The bride was attended by maid of honour Charlotte Phelps and bridesmaids Emily Spence, Libby Pattison and Emma Pattison.

The bridesmaids wore navy blue full-length satin dresses in four different styles.

Bouquets carried by the bride and her attendants were of fresh flowers featuring pink and white roses and gum leaves.

Attending groomsmen were best man Ben McInnes and groomsmen Kurt Warren, Dylan McInnes and Justin McInnes.

The groom and groomsmen wore ecru jackets, white and navy shirts and navy dress pants with tan riding boots.

Patrick Spence was Master of Ceremonies, with speeches made by best man Ben McInnes, maid of honour Charlotte Phelps, father of the bride Dean Pattison, bridesmaids Libby and Emma Pattison and parents of the groom, Jason and Tracey McInnes.

The wedding cake was a delicious two-tier white chocolate mud cake adorned with white roses and made by Leann Hannaford.

Nathan and Gena first met nine years ago at a party in Narrabri, where they were introduced by best man Ben McInnes.

Their engagement followed six years later at the Gold Coast in 2019.

Nathan had arranged a helicopter ride to South Stradbroke Island, where the couple enjoyed a picnic on the beach and a romantic proposal followed.

The happy couple spent their honeymoon in Cairns and have made their home in Narrabri.
