Melbourne Cup celebrated in style in Narrabri | PHOTOS

Narrabri venues switched into Melbourne Cup mode on Tuesday to celebrate the race that stops the nation.

The annual event delivered another spectacle at Flemington Racecourse, with Gold Trip crossing the line first in the 3200-metre race, Emissary taking second, and High Emocean finishing the placings in third.

Lunches were held across Narrabri’s many hospitality venues, and many people took the opportunity to dress to the nines.

Keen punters were also out in force to see the race on the big screen.
