Narrabri Rugby Club’s 2022 premiership winning season has been praised in the NSW Parliament.

State Member for Barwon Roy Butler made mention of the Blue Boars’ triumph during a recent sitting day in Macquarie Street.

“After not having a shot last year due to COVID and a feeling of unfinished business, the Narrabri Blue Boars have won the CNRU first grade premiership,” Mr Butler told his fellow parliamentarians.

“The boys have worked extremely hard over the last two years, both physically and mentally.

“Showing community spirit as a club and determination as a team, the Boars defeated the Red Devils with a final score 25-8.

“On the field, Narrabri Blue Boars showed lots of outstanding play, with some players getting injuries, but they continued working together as a team for a victory.

“I thank Narrabri Blue Boars for their contribution to the sport of rugby, for the dedication, passion, they have all shown to come out as winners.”
