Glen Grosser was announced as Boggabri Lions Club Senior of the Year 2023 at a morning tea recently.
Mr Grosser has been a prominent member of the Willala community previously having been secretary of the Willala Livestock and Grain producers Association, chairman of Willala National Party, president Willala P & C and school council, president Willala Community Church and member of Willala Rural Fire Brigade.
He was also a member of the Boggabri P A & H Agricultural show committee.
Mr Grosser was heavily involved with Apex and was president of Boggabri Apex Club, district governor of district 7 Apex and honoured with life membership of Apex.
Mr Grosser was an ultra-light flier participating in SES missing persons searches.
Since retirement, Mr Grosser has moved into Boggabri and is a committee member of St Barnabas Church, member and tour guide at the Boggabri tractor shed and a regular helper to the Lions Club barbecue catering team.
Boggabri Home and Community Care currently benefits with Mr Grosser being a volunteer driver taking patients to appointments and on excursions.
