A group of home care clients were treated to a performance by Narrabri Public School choir at the Narrabri Aquatic Centre on Friday, June 2.
The choir sang My Island Home and Always Remember, two beautiful renditions which awarded the school first place in the Primary School Small Choir item at the recent Narrabri Eisteddfod.
Narrabri Public School choir teacher Sharon Stoltenberg was delighted with the opportunity for the choir to sing to the home care residents.
“I have 10 Year 3 girls, two Year 4, one Year 5 and four Year 6 girls.
“It has taken a lot of training and rehearsing plus support and mentoring from the senior girls in the choir but now, the girls sing like angels.
“I’m so incredibly proud of them all.
“I have sung in choirs all my life through school, and in lead roles in musical theatre in Newcastle.
“I’ve always had a real passion for singing and music and it is just so rewarding to listen and sing with the choir and to share that love of music with them.”
