The Namoi Dragons demonstrated the sport of dragon boating to residents of Whiddon Narrabri Robert Young.
Narrabri’s dragon boaters had their paddles at the ready as they demonstrated paddling techniques to the group of residents assembled for the Saturday morning activity.
Residents also enjoyed seeing the many medals won by club members.
Some even took part in a paddling exercise and beat the dragon boating drum.
Club president Kirk Harvey said the morning session was about engaging with the Robert Young residents while showing them what the Namoi Dragons are about.
The Namoi Dragons are interested in conducting more community engagement exercises and welcome organisations to contact the club for demonstrations.
Following Saturday morning’s activities, residents and visitors enjoyed morning tea.
