Narrabri Touch’s 2024 season two competitions are heating up after the third round of the graded campaign at Cooma Oval on Monday produced some interesting results.

The men’s matches were won by Grumley Builders and Win Or Booze in A-grade and DTA Lumberjacks and Cougars in B-grade, and the ladies’ games were won by Twisted Blisters and Specialised Civil in A-grade and CBRE and Golfie Goblers in B-grade.

In the A-grade men’s competition, Monday’s results left three teams locked on seven points and no side as an outright ladder leader.

Lations went into round three as the only undefeated team after two rounds but they suffered their first loss as they went down 8-6 against Win Or Booze, and Grumley Builders ensured that Gee Bangers remained winless with a 7-1 victory.

The Grumley Builders and Win Or Booze both had a win and a loss to their names across the opening two rounds, and now they and Lations all have two wins and one loss. Four points behind them are the Gee Bangers on three points.

The only undefeated side going into the third round of the ladies’ A-grade competition also lost on Monday as Many’s Contractors were outscored 6-2 by Twisted Blisters. That result saw Twisted Blisters charge into first place on for and against difference as they ended the night locked on seven points with their opponents.

The Jarfumigation Redbacks and Specialised Civil are now both a win behind them on five points following Specialised Civil’s 7-1 victory over the Redbacks on Monday. That win was Specialised Civil’s first since the teams were split up into grades.

Three teams entered round three of the men’s B-grade comp undefeated, one of which was the top-ranked side The Pelicans after they had won once and drawn once in the opening two rounds. However, they sat out with the bye and fell to third as fellow undefeated sides DTA Lumberjacks and Cougars were victorious.

DTA Lumberjacks outscored JWG Livewires 5-2 to jump into first place and Cougars took down Ballbusters 12-4 to rise to second.

The fourth-placed Livewires and fifth-placed Ballbusters are yet to win in the graded campaign.

In the ladies’ B-grade competition, Hounddogs led the way following two wins during the first two rounds but they were overtaken by the Golfie Gobblers, who downed Touch n Go 5-2. That result saw the Gobblers rise from third into first and Touch n Go fall from second to third.

The fourth-placed CBRE and fifth-placed FAFs remained in their ladder positions after CBRE won their clash 5-1.

Ladder positions and points totals in each grade after three rounds are as follows:
