The Clontarf Academy has celebrated a year of success at its presentation night held at Narrabri High School’s Betty Berriman Hall on last week.
Students and staff were joined by families and community members for the awards celebration.
Director of the Narrabri academy, Clayton Pursche said the awards are an opportunity to celebrate achievements and look back at the wider range of activities students have taken part in throughout the year.
“There have been so many memorable moments and the boys have achieved so much,” Mr Pursche said.
“Our practice has paid off for many of our boys, many of our senior boys receiving their driving licences this year.
“We have seen more of our boys moving to the workforce gaining part time employment with a total of 20 currently working.
“A further three more have participated in work experience so far this year and over 90 per cent of our graduates and alumni are participating in the workforce full time.
“I am most proud of the three year 12 graduates who have made it to today, completing their high school despite experiencing different adversities along the way, some of which happened in the last few months.”
Mr Pursche thanked the academy’s many supporters from Narrabri High School and the wider community.
Zeiken Green-Murray and Blake Christian provided the welcome to country prior to the presentation of awards.
