The countdown to Christmas Day is on after the Narrabri Chamber of Commerce Christmas tree in Maitland Street was put in place at the weekend.
The six-metre tree, now in its 11th year, was erected, decorated and festooned by chamber volunteers and helpers on the weekend and will shine throughout the festive season on the post office lawn.
The tree is a Christmas contribution to the community by the chamber, with assistance from the Gale family, to bring more light and colour to the CBD as Christmas shopping gets into full swing through December.
The chamber is grateful to those who help with the tree every year, especially the Gale family and those businesses who donate equipment.
