Friends and family gathered from Australia and overseas to celebrate the engagement of Narrabri’s Sally Dunnet and her fiance Josh Moinet on Saturday, November 2.

Sally is the daughter of Wanda and Ian Dunnet of Selina Street and Josh is the son of Gary and Julie Moinet, Flore, Northampshire, UK.

A garden party attended by 100 guests was held at Ian and Wanda’s home.

The Moinet family from the UK attended. Josh’s parents, Gary and Julie, brothers, Sam and girlfriend Siobhan Powers, Ben and fiance Sophie Mac Cue and Josh’s grandmother Janet Masters all travelled for the occasion.

Members of the Dunnet and Druce families were joined by family friends and Sally’s long-standing friends from school and university.

Speeches were made by Wanda Dunnet and Josh Moinet with Ian Dunnet welcoming the guests.

Musician Gregg Love provided the entertainment and atmosphere with people dancing the night away.

The engagement cake was made and beautifully decorated by Robyn Pattison.

Josh’s parents and grandmother made their first trip to Australia for the party and were complimentary about Narrabri, the shopping and recreational facilities.

Mrs Masters, 83, is a marathon swimmer who was impressed with Narrabri’s Olympic size pool and took the opportunity to swim several laps.
