Thursday night bowls commenced for 2025 at the Narrabri Bowling Club last night.
There were 20 bowlers in action on the night as two pairs games and two triples games were held on the John McNamara Owen Campey Green.
In pairs, Lyn Wedesweiler and Janice Foxe outscored Lyn Tuckey and John Williams 14-8, and Steve Eather and Bruce Tomlinson defeated Rhonda Fitzgerald and Steve Daskey 11-7.
In triples, Joyce Briggs, Ronnie Dewar and Shorty Trindall took down David Briggs, Keith Stoltenberg and Ian Schweitzer 14-12, and Carol Armstrong, Di Chessells and Colin Armstrong downed Berice Eather, Dawn Armstrong and Cindy Neil 17-12.
Social bowls is played each week on Thursday nights at Narrabri Bowling Club and anyone is able to join in and play. Names must be submitted on the sheet in the clubhouse by 6pm so that a draw can be done up for a 6.30pm start.
Games are contested across 15 ends and are played under lights, usually wrapping up by 8.30pm.
