Members of the Bellata branch of the Country Women’s Association gathered for a Christmas lunch celebration in December.
The 18 attendees enjoyed ‘a lovely lunch and catch-up’, with the members giving special thanks to everyone who rallied together to help make the day a success including Jo Dufty for providing the delicious catering.
The festive event was held at the Bellata Golf Club and highlights of the day included the attendance of some of the branch’s long-serving, committed and life members such as Edna Promnitz.
Readers might remember a story featured in The Courier in 2022, when Mrs Promnitz celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by 52 members of her family.
In 2025, Bellata’s brilliant branch remains committed to serving the community and working with organisations such as Ronald McDonald House to help rural families, women and children.
The CWA has a strong reputation as being ‘a voice for the bush’ and assisting country women and their families and welcomes new members.
