Rugby union has officially returned to Dangar Park for 2025, with Narrabri Rugby Club hosting the Hannaford-Southwell Shield on Saturday.
The club hosted St Albert’s College for the contest, which is a tribute to former Blue Boar Brad Hannaford and his girlfriend Felicity Southwell, who tragically died in a car accident in 2006.
The annual fixture on the Blue Boars’ calendar is always a special moment, and the club again retained the shield following a 62-12 victory.
The Blue Boars’ 2025 CNRU season officially kicks off on April 26 with an away game against Quirindi before hosting their first home game against Gunnedah the following weekend.
