The Garden Bar & Kitchen at Frederickton was the stunning location for the recent wedding of Angus Turner and Mackenzie Greer of Tamworth.

Forty-two guests attended the celebrations on Friday, June 6 where the venue, located in the grounds of the Frederickton Old Cheese Factory, looks over panoramic water views of the Macleay River.

Angus is the son of Annie and Dean Turner of Tamworth, all formerly of Narrabri, and Mackenzie is the daughter of Leanne Trickett and Andrew Greer of Tamworth.

The bride was attended by maid of honour Lucinda Turner together with ring bearer Isaac Heywood and flowers girls Piper and Halle McCulloch. Attending the groom was best man Dan Penrose.

The ceremony was officiated by Celia Fitzhenry of Wishbone Ceremonies.

Mackenzie wore a beautiful full-length ivory embroidered gown with train and a pearl headband, later changing for the reception into a tulle mini dress adorned with handstitched pearls.

The maid of honour wore a magenta, strapless ruched gown and the two flower girls were dressed in all-white, with bouquets for the wedding party featuring pink and white roses.

Angus and his best man were attired in powder blue linen suits with navy shirts and brown boots, with ring bearer Isaac wearing cream dress jacket, white shirt and grey dress pants.

The boutonnieres for the gentlemen complemented the ladies’ bouquets crafted with pink and white rosebuds.

Warm and welcoming speeches were made by father of the bride Andrew Greer, parents of the groom Annie and Dean Turner, and responses were given from both the bride and groom, followed by speeches from sister and brother of the bride, Angela Trickett and Flynn Greer.

Following a delicious meal, a white chocolate mud cake was served.

The wedding cake was made in the form of a large white love heart and decorated with black piping.

The pair first met in high school and reconnected when Mackenzie returned to live in Tamworth from Newcastle in mid-2022, and there their romance began.

Celebrations on the day were a heartfelt homage to the couple’s love story and the start of a new chapter with special memories shared with loved ones.

The families paid tribute and poignantly remembered those no longer with them, grandfather of the bride Harold Greer, uncle of the groom Matthew Turner, grandmother of the bride Fran Trickett, and grandfather of the groom John ‘Copper’ Schmich.

Angus and Mackenzie spent their honeymoon in Cairns and have made their home in Tamworth.
