When you walk into the Vantage NSW site at AgQuip 2025, you won’t find a flashy corporate showroom or a one-size-fits-all product pitch. What you’ll find is a team of genuine, experienced people boots on the ground, brains on the job who are here to help growers get more out of what they already have and build smarter operations for what’s coming next.
For Vantage NSW, precision agriculture isn’t a trend. It’s a responsibility to the land, to the customer, and the region.
Where it all started
The story of Vantage NSW starts with a bloke named Mick Casey, a Gunnedah local with deep farming roots and an even deeper sense of loyalty. Mick didn’t always plan to lead an ag-tech business. When the family farm was sold and the phone in the workshop kept ringing, he stepped in to help, not realising that one year would turn into his life’s work.
At just 22, Mick sold his first sprayer. He didn’t have all the answers, but he knew how to find them. And more importantly, he knew how to stand by the answers once he gave them. That “figure-it-out” mindset, paired with a fierce commitment to backing what he installed, formed the foundation of what would become NFS Technologies, and eventually evolve into Vantage NSW now a trusted dealer in the global PTx Trimble network, but still 100% regionally led and independently driven.
“If someone needs a hand, I don’t walk past it,” Mick says. “That’s what built this business and that’s what still drives it.”
What Vantage NSW does
Vantage NSW is a precision ag-tech company with a difference. Based in Gunnedah and servicing farms and fleets right across Australia. The team provides a full spectrum of support, spanning across guidance and autosteer solutions and advanced positioning services using satellite, cellular or radio and mixed fleet data management. The team also supports solutions in digital proof of placement, and application control systems across spraying, spreading, seeding, planting and harvest. They also provide advanced spraying solutions using optical sensors and custom sprayer configurations, along with field service, calibration, training, spare parts and repairs.
But their work isn’t just about installing systems. It’s about making technology work together across brands, across machines, and across generational knowledge on the farm. On-farm service, parts and troubleshooting are part of the offering, along with training, advisory and support from people who explain things properly.
“We’re brand-agnostic,” says Mick. “We don’t just push what’s easiest for us. We get the customer sorted, whatever gear they’ve got.”
The heart of the business: The team
While the technology is impressive, it’s the people behind it that really set Vantage NSW apart.
From experienced field technicians and admin staff to young guns stepping up with fresh qualifications and insights, every person in the Vantage NSW crew is there because they believe in doing things properly. They don’t just service ag tech they live it.
Many have farmed themselves or grown up on properties where fixing something yourself was part of the daily rhythm. That’s why, when clients call, they’re not greeted by a call centre they’re connected with a real person who understands what it’s like when a system is down in the middle of spraying or harvest.
“We hire for attitude first,” Mick explains. “We’ve got some of the best operators in the country on our team not just because they’re smart, but because they care. We can train someone on systems. We can’t train someone to give a damn.”
Ag is changing – we are here to lead the journey
The agricultural landscape is shifting fast. Autonomy, compliance, environmental regulations, and cost pressures are reshaping how farms run and how decisions are made. At Vantage NSW, the team isn’t just adapting they’re helping lead that change. By investing in ongoing training, partnering with leading technology providers, and building a service model that’s built on flexibility, scalability, and integrity, Vantage NSW ensures its clients don’t get left behind.
They’re working closely with manufacturers, dealers, and industry regulators to stay ahead of compliance standards, especially as autonomous vehicles, data-led decisions, and machine-learning integrations become standard in the paddock.
“We’re not here to sell you something shiny,” Mick says. “We’re here to make sure you’re covered; technically, practically, and in terms of risk.”

In regional Australia, reputation is everything
In the regions, people talk. Your word matters. And if you don’t back your name, you won’t last.
That’s why trust is a cornerstone of the Vantage NSW model. Whether they’re quoting a job, servicing a customer, or stepping in to troubleshoot a tech issue during harvest, the team works hard to uphold the culture they’ve built one that values showing up, owning mistakes, and doing the job right the first time.
“I’m not chasing growth for the sake of it,” Mick says. “We grow because people keep telling each other, ‘Call Vantage NSW—they’ll sort it.’ That’s how I know we’re doing it right.”
