The Boggabri John Prior Multi Purpose Service residents were treated to a barbecue lunch to celebrate and honour the incredible fathers and father-figures in the facility.
During the week, diversional therapist Lynda Furner helped the residents make decorations for the event and decorate the activity room.
Serviettes were folded into shirts with cute little black bow ties and the bottles of flowers all had shirts and ties.
Black top hats, moustaches, glasses added the finishing touches to the silver decorations.
Volunteer Lee Baldwin cooked the barbecue.
Steak sandwiches, sausage sandwiches as well as salads were on offer with an ice cream cone with chocolate topping for dessert.
To finish the celebrations Tracey Foote, Adele O’Connell and Noreen Boehm, representing the Boggabri United Hospital Auxiliary delivered a gift to the males in residential, acute care and respite beds.
