A group of Year 11 hospitality students from Narrabri High School took their classroom skills into the real world this week, running the Tiny Mobile Café at the Department of Education stand during the annual AgQuip field days.
The initiative provided students with a hands-on opportunity to showcase their barista and customer service skills in a bustling, real-world environment.
The Tiny Mobile Café, an innovative and compact coffee outlet, proved to be the perfect platform for the students to gain valuable work placement hours while building their confidence in the Hospitality industry.
Students brewed coffee, prepared beverages, and served customers, all while learning the fast-paced nature of food and beverage service.
The experience was both educational and rewarding, offering insight into the daily operations of a hospitality business.
Events like AgQuip, which draw thousands of visitors each year, offer an ideal setting for students to apply their knowledge in a practical setting and engage with the wider community.
