Narrabri Garden Club, along with VIEW Club, held a special ‘Welcome to Spring’ meeting on Saturday, September 13, at the home of Di and Paul Foster.
Everyone enjoyed a beautiful morning in a delightful garden.
Our thanks to the Fosters for being such gracious hosts.
The bloom competition was won by Lindy McMicking with her May Bush, followed by Lyn Vaughan with a Wisteria, and Judith Cameron with a purple Iris, all a true indication the spring has arrived. Congratulations ladies.
The VIEW Club’s monster raffle was won by a very delighted Irene Tomlinson.
The annual Spring Rose and Flower Show, run by the Narrabri Show Society Inc. and supported by the Garden Club is almost here, coming up on Saturday, October 11 (see classifieds).
Schedules are available on the Narrabri Show Society Inc. Facebook page, or hard copies are available, so get a copy and plan your entries.
It would be lovely to see people bring in their roses and flowers and top the incredible number of entries we had last year.
Also, have a think about entering the floral art sections.
It’s always interesting to see everyone’s different interpretations of a given theme.
Phone Sue on 0459 629 190 or Noeline on 0427 922 340 if you have any queries.
Our annual general meeting will be held next Wednesday, October 8, hosted by Tilla Winston Flowers, at ‘Currawidgen’, 1371 Maules Creek Road.

Travel a further 13 kilometres to ‘Currawidgen’ which is on the left.
Tilla’s is the second house on the property.
Please come along and join us for a morning of friendship through gardens.

Don’t forget your blooms, and a chair and mug.
