Narrabri High School graduates from the years 1987 through to 1992 gathered for a reunion on Saturday, October 4.

A night of reminiscence, old jokes and lots of laughter.

The reunion, which was held at the Narrabri Golf Club, staged a trip down memory lane for the 70 attendees, with old uniforms pinned up, as well as snippets from school year books and newspaper articles.

The committee had a big job organising for everyone to be in the same place at the same time, but it was a success.

Committee member Cindy Orman said it was a good time catching up with old schoolmates, especially those who are now living thousands of kilometres away.

“This reunion was actually supposed to be in 2020, but of course COVID stopped it from going ahead so we’ve just kicked it off again,” Cindy said.

“It was so worth it though, seeing old school mates coming from even as far as USA.

“We had some come down from Darwin and South East Queensland, it was great to see everyone making the effort.

“The fact that they were loud and laughing was a good sign.

“They were all so keen because it has been a long time, roughly 25 years since the last one.

Cindy mentioned how happy the committee are that they went with the idea of scattering old school photos around.

“It was fun to just look back on and laugh about the sign of the times,” Cindy said.
