What an absolute incredible night it was for the launch of Sam Snape’s album ‘Good Things’.
The event, held at the Commercial Hotel in Boggabri, brought together family, friends, and music lovers from all over, packing the venue with energy, excitement and a real sense of community spirit.
The atmosphere was electric from start to finish, with MC Greg Henry keeping the event on time and providing his own brand of entertainment.
Up and coming and well-known artists provided a variety of genres of music.
The launch was proof that good things really do happen when people come together, singing along, dancing, and sharing in the joy of live music.
A beaming and proud father, Barry Snape gave a heartfelt background to the songs on the album prior to a very emotional Sam thanking those nearest and dearest to him as well as the enormous support team that made the event a roaring success.
In addition to the music, the launch had a special purpose: raising funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Sam had approached businesses in Boggabri, Gunnedah and Narrabri for donations and as Sam said: “each and every one gave in the generous nature that our region is known for”.
The talented Cameron Kerr conducted the auction extracting dollars left, right and centre and thanks to the generosity of attendees, $10,650 was raised on the night.
This incredible contribution will help keep the chopper flying and support the vital work they do in our region.
Music, food, drinks, mechanical bull rides, easy-going, gregarious company, none of this would have been possible without the hard work of organisers, volunteers, performers and everyone who bought a ticket.
“What an absolute, incredible album launch it was for ‘Good Things’,” Sam said.
“I am so, so grateful for everyone who showed up and made this possible and cannot thank you enough.
“With just over 400 ticket sales you guys really left me speechless.
“I can’t explain how happy I am to how well this turned out, and to think we raised $10,650 for the rescue helicopter is absolutely outstanding.”
