Remembrance Day is one of those days as well as many other days, to remember all those men and women who gave their lives for all of us in the hope that we would have a better future.

We also remember those veterans who are still with us, as well as those men and women still serving our country today.

We should also remember the forgotten people of war. Those left at home, the wives, children, mums and dads, and all other family members related to a veteran.

I know our veterans, past and present, went through their own hell some of them are still suffering with to this day.

Family members went through their own hell here at home as well.

I know it was different for us. But still the ‘not knowing’ is not easy. In this day and age, the media is everywhere.

It does not help when you’re the one at home seeing things on television and other social media. Not knowing if your loved one is there or not.

I know the feeling – you see, I am one of those wives who was left at home to worry.
