Peter and Jan Etheridge recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary at the On Lee Chinese Restaurant.
They were joined by 60 close friends and family, with guests travelling from Mildura, Wagga Wagga, Sydney, Newcastle and Forster for the occasion.
Watson’s Kitchen made the three-tiered silver and white anniversary cake and John Burgess took photographs at the party.
Peter made a speech thanking guests for attending the celebrations and presented Jan with a diamond and yellow gold pinky ring.
Their flower girl Meg (Cameron) Pawley put in an apology for the event.
Peter’s brother and best man at the wedding, Arthur Etheridge was in attendance.
The happy couple were also presented with messages of congratulation from King Charles, the Prime Minister and Governor-General.
Peter and Jan were married on November 13, 1965 at St Cyprian’s Church Narrabri.
They have three children Joann, Bruce and Margot and have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Peter and Jan have remained in Narrabri for their whole married life.
