It’s the first week of December and Christmas cheer is spreading across the district, with festive lights and decorations already out on display.

The Wee Waa Lions Club’s iconic Christmas tree is standing tall in the IGA carpark, ready for this Friday’s street party and preparations for carols this month are well underway.

The town clock’s classic Chrissie tunes have started playing, bringing joy to people wandering down the main street.

And there was plenty of festive fun on Sunday afternoon, when local children showed off their creative talents at a wreath-making workshop hosted by the Wee Waa Newsagency, Milmar Café, A Magical Country Christmas and Liz Berger, who helped the children make Christmas trees.
