‘Twas a very merry time for all, at Eulah Creek Hall, for their Christmas Wonderland, what a ball!’

The Christmas Wonderland took place Saturday morning, November 29, with a number of magical activities lined up for the kids, and of course the exciting arrival of Santa Claus.

From cupcake decorating to card making and outdoor games, the smiles give it away of the fun had.

Eulah Creek Hall board member and grants officer, Bernadette Morgan said it was a very successful, sell-out event and was impressed as it was the first of its kind.

“In total we had 56 kids, an amazing turn out and they all made the most of the activities which is great to see.” Bern said.

“We have had nothing but really positive feedback from all the families and people who attended,

“So, safe to say we will do something like the wonderland again going into the future, as well as looking at other avenues to fundraise for the hall throughout the year.”

The committee baked delicious slices, fruits and summer desserts for everyone to enjoy and of course goodie bags from Santa, cue the sugar rush.

“Santa arriving in the fire truck was the biggest highlight for the kids, nice to hear lots of laughter and plenty of noise,

“It also seemed like a nice morning for the parents as well, to socialise and get some time out of the house.

“We had some generous cash donations from local businesses which was very much appreciated.

Bernadette and Sharon would also like to thank the Narrabri businesses who donated prizes and cash donations towards the event and lucky door prizes for the children.

“Between Sharon Peters and I, we donated all of the activity supplies along with the cupcakes for decoration.

“We had some generous volunteers who donated things like scrapbooking materials for card making and also outdoor games for the kids to play with.

“We’re going to try and incorporate different events, branch out a bit and utilise the hall, as it is such a wonderful venue and available for the public to hire at an affordable price.

“Lastly, we would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers, these events don’t happen without these local people in non-for-profit committees like us.”
