COMPETITION was strong at Narrabri Golfie in the previous week with members enjoying a full schedule of events.

On Wednesday 15 July, the ladies’ 18-hole par competition was won by Sandra Nott with +7, finishing ahead of Nanette Watson on +5.

Kate Pitman claimed the nearest-the-pin prize on the 12th hole.

In the Wednesday nine-hole Stableford Medley, Nigel Guest took the honours with 22 points, edging out Mark Ward who finished runner-up on 21 points.

Saturday’s 18-hole Par Medley on 18 July attracted a strong field across all grades.

In A-grade, Adam Taylor claimed victory with an even par round, while Ben Finnigan and Graeme Trew shared the next best score on -2, with Finnigan awarded runner-up and Trew third on a countback.

B-grade honours went to Will Coldham with +2, ahead of Louise Penberthy on +1, while Jordan Hannaford finished third on 0.

In C-grade, Ingrid Moulds won with +2, followed by Jeff Harper on +1, with Joy Baker taking third on -1.

Nearest-the-pin winners were Graeme Trew (5th), Dancy Hannaford (8th), Troy Nott (12th) and Josh Orman (16th).

Sunday’s nine-hole Stableford Medley on 19 July saw Margot Leitch finish on top with 20 points, while Louise Penberthy continued her strong weekend form, taking runner-up with 19 points.
