KEITH Stoltenberg and Kevin Baguley will contest the Narrabri Bowling Club consistency singles final.

Stoltenberg won a very close game against Dave Dewar.

Dewar led until the 26th end when Stoltenberg scored 10 points to take the lead 130–122.

Dewar then scored 10 points on the 29th end to even the score at 141 all. Both players scored five points each on the 30th end.

It all came down to the next end with Stoltenberg scoring seven points to three to win the game.

Kevin Baguley defeated Peter Small in a shorter game played over 23 ends.

The final will be played on Saturday 8 August at 1pm with Peter Small as marker.

The ladies’ president pairs started last Thursday.

Rhonda Fitzgerald and Marie Redman defeated Yvonne Hardman and Di Chessells 14–12.

Cecile and Lyn Tuckey defeated Rebecca Taylor (sub Berice Eather) and Helen Woodward 20–14.

Dawn Armstrong and Cindy Neil defeated Glennis Godden and Eva Sadler 17–13.

One semi-final will be played on Thursday 6 August.

That match will have Cecile and Lyn Tuckey playing Dawn Armstrong and Cindy Neil.

Meanwhile, the semi-final on Saturday 8 August will see Kay Carolan and Lisa Pillar up against Rhonda Fitzgerald and Marie Redman.

The mixed pairs will start on Saturday 15 August.

The schedule is: 9.30am – Di Chessells and Steve Daskey v Helen Woodward and Stuart Coleman; Ronnie Dewar and Dave Dewar v Debbie Gleeson and Peter Small. 1pm – Dawn and Colin Armstrong v Anthony Welchman and Marie Redman; Keith Stoltenberg and Lisa Pillar v Kay Carolan and Laurie Gilbert.
