Narrabri High’s 2027 leadership team

Narrabri High School held a special assembly on Friday 21 August to proudly announce its 2027 student leadership team. The school congratulated new leaders including school captains Fleur Eather and Frazer Penberthy, vice-captains Emily Axon, Guhan Gunasekhar and Elizabeth Faris, and prefects Elyana Gregory, Edward Bennett, Xanthe Kirk and Holly Anderson. “Congratulations and wishing you all the very best for your leadership journey in 2027!” Narrabri High School said in its announcement.

Elsie Bennett to proceed to regional public speaking competition finals

Namoi Valley Christian School student Elsie Bennett will proceed to the zone finals of the Rotary Public Speaking Competition. Elsie was one of three local students to take part in the local competition conducted in a partnership between Narrabri’s Rotary and Rotaract clubs. Held as part of Rotary’s regular dinner meeting at the Tourist Hotel, Elsie was joined by fellow NVCS student Elly-May Johns and Wee Waa High School student Lily-May Hunter. Welcome barbecue set tobe held for new Wee Waa nurses

Future cotton leaders turn ideas into action as 2026 cohort graduates

SOME local and familiar faces were among the largest cohort in the history of the Australian Future Cotton Leaders Program to graduate just before this year’s Australian Cotton Conference kicked off. Participants have been praised for delivering practical projects designed to strengthen communities, improve industry connections and support the future of Australian cotton.
