Amended aquatic facilities policy adopted

NARRABRI Shire Council has adopted an amended Aquatic Facilities Management Policy and Plan following extensive submissions by user groups and community members on the original draft plan tabled in April. The Aquatic Facilities Management Plan supplements the policy by providing guidance on the day-to-day operations of the shire’s aquatic facilities in Boggabri, Narrabri and Wee Waa. Pakistan delegation explores Narrabri region’s agricultural innovation

FOURTEEN Australia Awards Fellows from Pakistan recently visited the University of Sydney’s Narrabri campus, immersing themselves in one of the country’s leading agricultural research regions as part of the fellowship – Building Resilience in Food Security in Pakistan by Improving Climate–Resilient Agroecosystems. Grim farm death toll sparks safety campaign

GRIM new figures reveal 53 lives were lost and 182 people were seriously injured on Australian farms in 2025, bringing the nation’s farm death toll to 427 since 2019, more than one person every week for seven consecutive years. The statistics have been released as part of National Farm Safety Week, with Farmsafe Australia launching its 2026 Safer Farms Report. Eulah Creek Vintage Machinery Day returns this weekend

FRIENDLY country hospitality will once again be on show with the return of the much-loved Eulah Creek Vintage Machinery Day and Camp Oven Cook-off. The annual event, which combines the atmosphere of a traditional country fair with craft stalls, delicious food, family fun and vintage machinery demonstrations, remains a popular fixture on the district calendar.
