Wee Waa celebrates NAIDOC week
THE Wee Waa community recently came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week and, as reported last week, a Family Fun Day was held at Dangar Park on Friday 10 July. And at Wee Waa High School, there was a schedule packed with a range of cultural activities including lingo bingo, cultural art, beading and a Bush Tucker Program at the Ag Farm, finishing with a whole-school barbecue and cake cutting. NAIDOC Week recognises and honours the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
