The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service relies on community support to top up its funding and be able to continue to operate its free, 24/7 service across the region.

The community support was again in evidence at a fund raiser garden party at Jocellin Jansson’s Selina Street home on Sunday.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon of fine food and entertainment in the expansive gardens.

Authentic Trademarks proprietor David Pierce organised a fashion parade showcasing a history of clothing.

Young models wore fashions from the past with items being sourced locally.

Another highlight of the event was presented by Narrabri High School Year 10 textiles students who paraded their masterpieces of recycled clothing which they had fashioned from pre-loved pieces.

Local stallholders, the Doctor Cino coffee van and rescue helicopter manned barbecue added to the festive atmosphere.

Talented musicians The Dominoes and duo Lauren Brown and Layten Smith entertained the crowd.
