Four NDCA players selected into Bolters squad

Four Narrabri District Cricket Association players were recently selected in the Northern Inland Bolters representative squad which will compete at the Plan B Regional Big Bash T20 competition.

Narrabri War Vets and Civeo Cricket Club captain Lachlan Cameron was one of those, as were his Civeo teammates Nick Smart and Chris Sargent along with Western Imperial Razorbacks young gun Dylan Smith.

Cameron missed his side’s NDCA first grade round one match last Saturday, but Smart, Smith and Sargent all played and impressed in their respective matches.

The Bolters will compete in the Sixers Conference – Tamworth Pool which includes Coffs Coast Chargers, Macquarie Coast Stingers and Northern Rivers Rock.

Each of those three sides will play against each other once, with all six matches to be contested in Tamworth.

The Northern Inland Bolters will challenge Coffs Coast Chargers on Saturday, October 26, at Bicentennial Park. Then on Sunday, October 27, the Bolters will take on Macquarie Coast Stingers at Riverside Two in an early morning game, before backing up to challenge Northern Rivers Rock that afternoon at Riverside One.

In total 16 teams across the state compete in the tournament across four pools.

Along with the Sixers Conference – Tamworth Pool, there is also the Sixers Conference – Central Coast/Newcastle Pool, the Thunder Conference – South Coast Pool, and the Thunder Conference – ACT Pool.

The winners of each of those four-team pools, following the respective pool matches, go on to play at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the tournament’s semi-finals on Australia Day next year.

The grand final of the tournament will be played that night at the SCG.
