The spectacular gardens at Wendy and David Nairn’s Kaputar Road property provided the perfect setting for a community morning tea and fashion parade fundraiser hosted by Narrabri Lioness Club on Sunday. The fundraising target was children’s cancer research.

Fashions were modelled by 10 local ladies, plus one guest mannequin from Moree, in front of an audience of seventy who enjoyed Devonshire teas and great weather for the event.

The fashions were provided by Lisa Dees.

Lioness president Jill Jollow and her team were pleased with the success of the day.

“Every cent of the money raised will go towards the Lions’ project Childhood Cancer Research for studies into diagnosis and treatment of childrens’ cancer,” said Mrs Jollow.

Vocalist guitarist Emily Redman and duo, guitarist John McPherson with vocalist Peter Oldham, provided the music for the morning.
