Twelve Narrabri Stingrays Swimming Club swimmers competed at the Orana Swimming Club Carnival on Sunday, October 27.

All swimmers had a great meet with some fantastic PBs.

There were 70 events entered by our swimmers with race lengths ranging from 50 metres to 200 metres.

Strokes included butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle and individual medley.

Bella Bakhuis, competing in the 10-years had a great day swimming PBs in five out of six events.

Millie Collins in the 12-years competed in eight events gaining three PBs for the day.

Pip Collins, swimming as a 10-year-old swam two PBs over her six events.

Lexi Fernance swam in the 8-years and managed four out of four PBs.

Summer Fernance swam in six 11-year-old events gaining two PBs.

Clare Jensen competed in four events in her first carnival as a 13-year-old and swam her way to a PB.

Clare also received a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke.

Adison Hartog-Smith was in five events as a 10-year-old, gaining two PBs.

Phoenix Malcolm was in the 9-years girls and swam her way to PBs in each of her four events.

Serena Malcolm managed one PB in her three 7-year-old races.

Zoe Malcolm was the youngest team member (6-years) on the day and she was awarded a silver medal in the 25 metre freestyle.

Sophia Perovic-Gamez took part in five 10-year-old events swimming her way to PBs in each race.

Eldest team member was Ella Tomlinson and she competed in seven 14-year-old events.

At 14, PBs are hard to come by but Ella managed one in her first meet of the season.

The next targeted meet for the Stingrays will be at Scully Park on Sunday, November 17.
