On Saturday September 14, 2019 Sarah Cameron and Joshua Gleeson both of Narrabri, were married at ‘Gaza’, David and Wendy Nairn’s exquisite garden in the company of 203 family and friends.

Sarah is the daughter of Lex and Leesa Cameron and Joshua’s parents are Tom and Kerry Gleeson.

Sarah’s sister Amee Cameron was maid of honour and her best friends Kristy Pattison, Emily McFetridge and Clare Campbell were her bridesmaids.

Joshua was attended by brother Guy Gleeson as best man and best mates Jimmy Roden, Shaun Thompson and Nick Drew as groomsmen.

The bride wore a stunning princess gown of ivory satin with French lace overlay which flowed into a court length train.

The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and dainty pearl straps.

Sarah wore Joshua’s great grandmother Bell’s ring and carried a lace embroidered bag on her bouquet holding her great, great grandmother Cameron’s ring and her great grandmother Galvin’s handkerchief which Sarah’s mother had also carried on her wedding day.

Sarah chose burgundy A-line floor length chiffon lace gowns with a ruffle bodice, sweetheart neckline and two thin shoulder straps for her attendants.

The bride and bridesmaids carried bouquets of red, blush and white roses, burgundy ranunculus, pink thrype, white andromeda and lush green foliage.

Joshua and his groomsmen looked dashing in their blue woollen suits with matching burgundy suspenders, bow ties and white rose on their lapel.

Completing the wedding party were Sarah and Joshua’s furry ‘children’, Cooper and Bentley Gleeson as ring bearers. Cooper and Bentley wore matching burgundy bow ties.

The reception was held on the family property in O’Conners Lane, Narrabri overlooking the gumtrees.

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Matt Cameron, cousin of the bride, who did a fantastic job. From all reports he was extremely entertaining and made his cousin’s wedding a memorable occasion.

The beautiful wedding photos were taken by former Narrabri resident Matt Teague, Sarah’s cousin Konnie Wilson supplied the bouquets, lapel flowers and table decorations and friend Kim Campbell did the makeup.

Guests enjoyed an array of entrees before dining on fillet steak in hickory sauce and stuffed chicken breast with camembert and bacon with vegetables.

Sarah and Joshua’s wedding cake was a delicious three-tier white chocolate and chocolate mud cake, made by Robyn Pattison, which doubled as dessert.

The bridal waltz started like any other to the beautiful Stand By Me by Ben E. King however, everyone was taken by surprise when Sarah and Joshua broke into a routine to a medley of songs that they both learnt one week out from the wedding.

The guests then danced the night away to Steve Druce’s music.

The happy couple have made their home in Narrabri after a honeymoon to the Maldives and Singapore.
