St Barnabas Community Church hosted the Boggabri 2019 Carols in the Park on Saturday, December 7.

A large crowd gathered with their chairs and rugs to sing along to the Gunnedah Shire Band and the combined St Barnabas and Community Choir.

Early arrivals were able to purchase barbecue food from the Boggabri Lions club.

Along with the much-loved carols the children from St Barnabas Community Church, presented a play, Boggabri Public School and Sacred Heart school sang songs.

The evening was led by Rev Nick Stone, St Barnabas Community Church minister.

Reverend Stone organised for a group of children to come out of the crowd, dress up and act out the Aussie twelve days of Christmas.

The children had a lot of fun acting out each day; a platypus up a gum tree, jackaroos, meat trays, footy fans, rusty utes, snags, chooks, jolly jumbucks, daggy dingos, sweaty swaggies, cricket legends and surfing Santas.
