Community members took the time to catch up prior to Christmas at the Boggabri Business and Community Progress Association Christmas carnival on Friday evening.

The free water slide, jumping castle and train rides had children entertained before they settled down to watch the movie Home Alone on the outdoor screen in the park.

Food and drink stalls kept everyone’s hunger pangs at bay and the hams were popular on the Rotary chocolate wheel.

Santa arrived on the mini train at 7pm handing out bags of lollies to the excited children followed by raffles and lucky shopper draws at 7.30pm.

Mayor Cathy Redding attended the evening and said “it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and relaxing”.
