Bavarian Rotary visitors welcomed to Narrabri Shire

A party of eight German Rotarians were guests of Narrabri Rotary last week.

The group toured the Narrabri district’s scenic spots and met local Rotary and community members at a cocktail event where they were welcomed by the mayor Cathy Redding.

The visitors, from Bavaria, last year hosted a group of Narrabri Rotarians visiting Germany and renewed old acquaintances on their trip.

“The German Friendship Exchange team is on a return visit to our District for two weeks” explained Narrabri Rotary president Julie Herbert.

Narrabri Rotarians Graeme and Julie Herbert were members of a group of 16 District 9650 Rotarians who made a two week visit to Germany in May last year, learning about Germany, seeing the sights and attending the International Rotary Convention in Hamburg.

The visitors finished their tour on Monday to, hopefully, catch flights back to Germany.
