With the COVID-19 restrictions being eased on Friday, local duo Aaron Johnston and Lauren Brown took the opportunity to brighten up Narrabri’s Maitland Street on Saturday morning by providing live music from the balcony of Watson’s Kitchen.
Shoppers and families were standing across the street and clapping, cars were beeping their horns and waving at the duo as they performed.
The atmosphere along the street was almost celebratory and proved we can come back post pandemic.
The duo had been practicing pre-COVID-19 and then had to put plans on hold until recently when they were able to start practising again.
They are hoping that when the pubs and clubs start opening again they will be ready to jump straight in.
Many people were asking if they would be back this weekend. A prior commitment means that the duo will not be there this weekend, but they will be returning the following Saturday, May 30.
