It’s a long way from ‘business as usual’ but people are venturing out to eat in restaurants and cafes in limited numbers as restrictions on gatherings of people in one place are relaxed by the government.

From last Friday, bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes can allow up to 10 people at a time to sit down to eat in.

Narrabri and Wee Waa diners took advantage of the relaxed rules, but for some venues the economics of paying staff for strictly limited patronage didn’t add up.

Pubs, restaurants and cafes have already taken a severe hit over the duration of the COVID-19 lockout period.

However, Narrabri’s restaurants, cafes and hotels offering take away food have been busy over recent weeks.
